How to Make Employer Contributions
There are 5 contribution payment options available to choose from:
- EFT (Electronic Funds Transfer)
- POSTbillpay
- BPAY
- Direct payment via cheque
- Direct Debit
- Clearing House Services
Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT)
You can transfer money electronically from your nominated business bank account directly into the Fund’s account for all of the contribution options.
POSTbillpay
You can use POSTbillpay to make super contribution payments for online and paper contribution options. Simply take your Contribution Return and payment to your local Australia Post branch and pay by cash, cheque or debit card
Payments by credit card cannot be accepted. Payment over the phone is also available if you have an Australian Post PIN.
Note: Please allow two working days for the payment to be received. You are not deemed to have met your superannuation guarantee obligations until payment has been received.
BPAY
You can use BPAY for online and paper contribution options if your financial institution has this facility. Once you have submitted your Contribution Return, make a payment from your financial institution’s website or use their phone banking service.
Note: Please allow two working days for the funds to be received. Until funds have been received you are not deemed to have met your superannuation guarantee obligations.
Cheque
You can make direct payments by posting a cheque to MTAA Super for paper contributions. A Contribution Return or remittance must be received with the payment.
Note: Please allow four business days from the time of mailing for the funds to be received. Until funds have been received you have not met your superannuation guarantee obligation. Cheques should be made payable to: ‘Motor Trades Association of Australia Superannuation Fund’.
Direct Debit on Demand
Direct Debit is available for the online SuperSite contribution option.
This payment method means that you authorise an exact amount to be deducted from your account each month. Once this method is in place, you simply submit your completed contribution return and once received, it automatically triggers the requested deduction amount from your bank account.
MTAA Super debits accounts on 7th, 14th, 21st and 28th of each month.
Clearing House Services
ADP Employer Services (ADP) and our administrator, Superpartners, offers a clearing house facility for handling contribution payments and payroll deductions for MTAA Super employers. You can use the service for the distribution of super contributions and other payroll deductions, such as child support, health insurance, union fees and donations, at a discounted price.
