Life Protection for less than a cup of coffee a day
As a member of MTAA Super you benefit from low cost insurance premiums that provide you with comprehensive cover.
You can apply for:
- Death Cover (up to $5,000,000)
This pays out a cash benefit to your beneficiaries if you die.
- Total and Permanent Disability (TPD) cover (up to $2,000,000)
This pays out a cash benefit if you are unlikely to ever work again due to a total and permanent disability.
- Income Protection cover (up to $20,000 per month)
This pays a monthly benefit if you can’t work for an extended period of time due to an illness or injury.
MTAA Super also offers flexibility around the way you take out cover:
INSURANCE BENEFIT SCALE
The level of cover you have is calculated on an insurance benefit scale.
This means you pay a set amount each week and the amount of life insurance you have reduces proportionately to your age.
FIXED COVER OPTION
You choose the level of cover you wish to receive (in multiples of $1,000). The amount of cover you have will stay the same but your premium will depend on factors like your age, sum insured and occupation.
We’ll match your cover in another super fund
For new members, we will match the insurance cover you have in another fund, providing you can satisfy certain conditions that are outlined in the matching insurance cover form.
